    Job description:

Do you have the wit of a bard and the presence of a king? We are seeking seven dynamic performers to take on the roles of Theatrical Quest Actor (Realm Guide) for our upcoming Renaissance Faire. Unlike a traditional stage play, you won’t be confined to a script behind a curtain. You will be a permanent inhabitant of the Realm, acting as the primary catalyst for guest adventure.

As a Quest Actor, you are the face of the journey. You are the one who turns a spectator into a hero.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    • Tell a Story: You will inhabit a unique character within the Faire, sharing the rumors, history, and secrets of the Realm to draw guests into the narrative.

    • Engage Guests Dynamically: You are the heart of the "live" experience. You will interact with travelers of all ages, adapting your performance to their energy and choices to make the world feel reactive and real.

    • Progress Questlines: Using our proprietary "Legend System," you will track guest milestones and guide them through their personal story arcs, rewarding their progress and unlocking new adventures as they prove their worth.

    • Maintain the Illusion: You must stay strictly in character from "Gates Open" to "Gates Close." Your ability to handle any situation while remaining "in-world" is what creates the magic.

    Requirements

    • No Formal Requirements: We don’t care about degrees or resumes, we care about your ability to perform.

    • Experience: Experience in Theatre, LARP (Live Action Role Play), or Tabletop Storytelling (DMing) is highly preferred, but not required. If you have no formal experience, but want to give it a shot, please apply. We are looking for performers who can improvise and keep the energy high for an 8-hour shift.

    • Availability: Must be available for the full day on March 21, 2026, plus the mandatory group training day. Event venue, and day of event are subject to change, and you must be available for any changes.

    • The "Reliability" Factor: Since each of the 7 actors holds a unique piece of the story, punctuality and dependability are non-negotiable.

    • Discretion: To keep our event’s "magic" exclusive, all hired actors will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) regarding our internal narrative mechanics.

    Interview Process

Interviews and auditions will be held exclusively on weekends. Candidates will be asked to perform a brief "cold-start" improv scenario to show us how you would engage a traveler in the Realm. Please send us a summary of why you want to play a part in the Golden Goblet Faire™
