Vendor Rules & Regulations
IMPORTANT NOTICES:
Please note our booth fees have changed 10/27/2025, if you applied prior to this, your booth fees are locked in at the
earlier rate of $50.Our rules were last updated on 10/29/2025 and are subject to change.
1) Theme & Eligibility
All vendors must fit the Renaissance/medieval/fantasy theme. Merchandise, signage, and attire should be era-inspired or complimentary in style. Decorations may be provided by Golden Goblet Faire™ on a case-by-case basis if needed. Please submit to us an example of your booth at least 14 days prior to the event.
Booths/stalls must be decorated to match the theme (e.g., wood accents, canvas, banners, muted/period tones; avoid modern plastic canopies and bright neon, unless concealed). Acceptable minimum cover up is beige linen over a plastic canopy tent, covering all poles, though we do encourage custom signage and attire.
All vendors must be dressed in Renaissance themed attire, fantasy is allowed (elves, goblins, etc.), but a focus on historical renaissance themed attire is encouraged.
The booth with the best decorations, as determined by the organizers will have their booth fee refunded at the conclusion of the event.
2) Booth Setup & Arrival
Arrival/Check-In: Vendors must arrive two (2) hours before the event, at 8 AM, and be fully set up before gates open, exceptions will be made in limited circumstances based on complexity of the booth space. If you would like an exception, please contact us with why you deem you should be excepted.
Booths must remain open and staffed for the full event day. Early breakdown is not permitted without organizer approval.
3) Fees & Payment
Initial Fee: A $75 non-refundable fee is due at time of acceptance to secure booth space.
All food vendors must be approved by CARD at least 21 days prior to applying.
Space is not guaranteed until payment is received and confirmation issued.
The booth with the best decorations, as determined by the organizers will have their booth fee refunded at the conclusion of the event.

5) Equipment & Utilities
Vendors supply their own tent/canopy, tables, and chairs.
Electricity is not provided. If power is required, a quiet generator is required (subject to safety and placement rules).
All booths must be under the direct supervision of an adult (18+) at all times.
Booth locations are not guaranteed and may be reassigned at our discretion
6) Insurance, Licenses & Taxes
All vendors must provide a certificate of insurance, business license, and any required permits prior to participation.
Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all required federal, state, and local taxes.
7) Safety & Fire
Tents/canopies must be properly weighted/secured.
Open flames are NOT allowed. Heating elements, and generators must comply with local fire code and be positioned per staff instruction.
Fire extinguishers may be required depending on operations; vendors must comply with on-site inspections.
8) Weather, Refunds & Cancellations
The event is rain or shine
No refunds of any fees will be issued due to weather, sales, or attendance.
9) Enforcement
Failure to comply with these rules may result in denial of entry, removal from the event, or exclusion from future events without refund.
11) Liability, Assumption of Risk & Indemnification (Non-Liability Clause)
Participation at your own risk. Vendor acknowledges inherent risks associated with outdoor events and agrees that participation is voluntary.
No liability. The Event Organizer, Chico Area Recreation & Park District (CARD), the City of Chico, and their boards, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) are not liable for any injury, illness, death, theft, loss, or damage to persons or property, or for lost profits or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with the event, whether before, during, or after the event, including due to weather, acts of God/force majeure, civil disturbances, or third-party acts.
Indemnification. Vendor agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, demands, damages, liabilities, fines, penalties, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of Vendor’s participation, products/services, employees/agents/contractors, equipment, or any failure to comply with law or these Rules (including but not limited to health, safety, fire code, permitting, and tax obligations).
Survival. This section survives the event and any termination of participation.
12) Photo Release
I hereby give my consent to the Golden Gobet Faire™, its representatives, employees, and agents, to take, use, and publish photographs and/or video recordings of me during the event. I understand that these images may be used for promotional, educational, or marketing purposes across various platforms, including but not limited to print, digital media, and social media.
I acknowledge that I have no right to inspect or approve the final product or its use, and I release the Golden Goblet Faire™ from any liability arising from the use of these materials, including claims for defamation, invasion of privacy, or any other related claims.
