Performer Rules & Regulations
1. Conduct and Professionalism
All performers shall conduct themselves with dignity, kindness, and respect toward fellow performers, staff, volunteers, vendors, and guests.
Any form of harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior shall not be tolerated and may result in removal from the grounds without compensation.
You are an ambassador of the Faire and are expected to bring forth joy, laughter, and the spirit of the Renaissance.
2. Attendance and Punctuality
Performers must arrive on time for check-in, setup, and all scheduled performances.
Tardiness or failure to appear for a scheduled performance may result in forfeiture of compensation and/or future booking privileges.
If unforeseen circumstances prevent attendance, notify the Performer Coordinator immediately.
3. Attire and Appearance
All performers are required to wear Renaissance-, medieval-, or fantasy-themed attire that fits the spirit of the event.
Costumes should reflect the style and atmosphere of the period. Modern clothing or visible logos are not permitted while performing or in character.
Performers are encouraged to remain in character while on stage or interacting with guests.
4. Performance Standards
Performers are expected to provide a 30–60 minute performance depending on their approved act.
All acts must be appropriate for a family-friendly audience unless specifically approved otherwise.
Performers must engage the crowd and contribute to the immersive, historical environment of the Faire.
Fire, live animals, or hazardous materials must be pre-approved by Faire management.
5. Equipment and Setup
Performers are responsible for bringing all personal instruments, props, and equipment necessary for their act.
Any special technical requirements must be listed in advance in the performer’s application.
The Faire shall not be held responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property.
6. Liability and Safety
All performers participate at their own risk.
The Golden Goblet Faire™, its organizers, sponsors, and affiliates assume no responsibility for injury, loss, or damage to persons or property occurring before, during, or after the event.
Performers agree to hold harmless and indemnify the Golden Goblet Faire™ from any and all claims arising from their participation.
7. Weather Policy
The Golden Goblet Faire™ is an outdoor event and will proceed rain or shine.
Performers are expected to make every reasonable effort to attend and perform, regardless of weather conditions.
In the event of severe weather that poses a safety risk, the Faire management will make the final decision on postponement, relocation, or cancellation of specific performances.
Performers should prepare for variable weather conditions, including bringing protective coverings for instruments, costumes, and props as needed.
8. Photo and Media Release
By performing at the Golden Goblet Faire™, all participants grant the Faire, its organizers, and authorized representatives the right to photograph, record, and use images or videos of performances and likenesses for promotional, archival, and commercial purposes.
No compensation shall be owed for the use of such media.
9. Payment and Compensation
Payment (if applicable) shall be distributed at the conclusion of the performer’s scheduled commitments.
Failure to fulfill scheduled performances or breach of these rules shall result in forfeiture of pay.
Tips are permitted; however, performers must not pressure guests into paying or create a distraction that interferes with the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere of the Faire.
10. Respect for the Realm
Keep performance areas tidy and free of litter.
Modern devices such as phones or watches should be hidden or used discreetly while in character.
Alcohol or substance use during performance hours is strictly prohibited.
11. Licensing, Insurance and Compliance
All performers must maintain and provide proof of any required business licenses, permits, or certifications necessary to legally operate their act or services.
Performers are also required to carry appropriate liability insurance to cover their activities during the Faire, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or third-party claims.
It is the responsibility of each performer to comply with all local, state, and federal regulations applicable to their performance, including health and safety standards, fire codes, and animal welfare laws if live animals are involved.
Failure to provide required documentation or maintain proper compliance may result in denial of participation or removal from the event without compensation.
12. Agreement of Terms
By submitting an application or participating as a performer, you acknowledge that:
You have read, understood, and agreed to these Rules and Regulations.
You understand that participation is voluntary and undertaken at your own risk.
You accept that failure to comply with these rules may result in removal from the event and forfeiture of pay.
